Can you give me some life advice?

I find other peoples wisdom really interesting and I want to hear some life advice from you all, whether its about love, daily life, trust or w/e

Like a quote i once read, ';years teaches more than books';

my grandparents arent here and i rarely talk to them so i dont really get to hear what advice they have to give me about life so this is kinda next best thing, i know all sorts of people from all walks of life go on here so..Can you give me some life advice?
Get as much education as you have time and money. Then continue to learn the rest of your life.

Practice treating other people as you would like people treating you.

Acquire as much money as you can and use the money to benefit people less fortunate as you.

You can believe in the supernatural if you want to, but don鈥檛 condemn those who don鈥檛.

If it sounds too good to be true, then it is probably false.

Your purpose in life is to live.

Stamp out ignorance by promoting education. Can you give me some life advice?
Life advice:=

Avoid negative sources, people, places, things and habits

Believe in yourself.

Consider things from every angle.

Don't give up, and don't give in.

Enjoy life today; yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come.

Family and friends are hidden treasures; seek them and enjoy their riches.

Give more that you planned to give.

Hang on to your dreams.

Ignore those who try to discourage you.

Just do it.

Keep Trying; no matter how hard it seems, it will get easier.

Love yourself first and most.

Never lie, cheat or steal. always strike a fair deal.

Open your eyes and see things as they really are.

Practise make perfect.

Quitters never win and winners never quit.

Read , study and learn about everything important in your life.

Stop procrastinating.

Take control of your own Destiny.

Understand yourself in order to better understand others.

Visualise it.

Want it more than anything

Accelerate your efforts.

You are unique of all God's creatures; nothing can replace you.

Zero in on your target and go for it!
Whatever you are doing, do it the best you can.

If you are good at something don't brag about it.(It's cooler to let other people tell you.

Never go to bed angry if you can help it.

Tell your loved ones that you love them because you don't know when they or you could be gone.

Never be afraid to say you were wrong or you're sorry.

Don't allow yourself to be used repeatedly.

Don't buy stuff you can't afford.

Consider yourself a student of life and try to learn from other peoples mistakes.

If you don't like something that someone else does then don't do it yourself.

Don't scratch yourself ';there'; in public.
In affairs of the heart I would advise that you never go to bed on an argument but it can also apply to friendships too. If you've had words with someone make sure you resolve the situation with the other person or persons before bedtime or it will spill over into the new day. Be spontaneous in love especially in a long term relationship. Don't take your partner or friends for granted.

In life always strive to do your best %26amp; take pride in what you do.

Don't live beyond your means. Material things are very nice but sometimes people get into terrible debt to have them. If you have spare money then it is ok to treat yourself or buy things for your home but when you don't have anything spare don't get into debt to have things.

And if any given situation seems too good to be true then it probably is.
Sin: will find you, will blind you, will grind you.

humanity will always disappoint you; but God never will.

live beneath your means.

Drive inexpensive cars, but own the best house you can afford.

Return all things you borrow.

Keep secrets.

keep a tight rein on your temper.

Stop blaming others. Take responsibility for every area of your life.

Be brave. Even if you're not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference.

Choose your life's mate carefully. From this one decision will come ninety percent of all your happiness or misery.

Never use profanity.

When playing games with children , let them win.

Don't expect money to bring you happiness.

Accept pain and disappointment as part of life.

compliment the meal when you're a guest in someone's home.

When tempted to criticize your parents, spouse, or children, bite your tongue.

Answer the phone with enthusiasm and energy in your voice.
My mother told me to always wear lipstick to bed at night in case there was a fire and the firemen had to rush into your bedroom. (She's 87, and has a lipstick color to match each of her nighties.)

Other than that, my best advice is to follow your dreams. Read Joseph Campbell and see that he calls it ';following your bliss.'; Do what you love to do, and the rest will fall into place.

God bless.
Looks like you are well on your way to what I consider the most important life listen that today's youth needs to learn: how to listen.
Al ways be yourself %26amp; don't change who you are just to be popular because in the end it's all about you %26amp; how you like yourself Be a good friend this is really important because a best friend will be there for you Have a sense of humor %26amp; be able to laugh at yourself this builds character Don't sweat the small stuff save that for the big problems Good luck to you
1. if you like what you've been getting, keep doing what you've been doing!

2. most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be!

3. the definition of insanity is 'doing the same thing over and over again hoping for different results'

4. There are only 2 keys to success, find your star-then follow it!
Do the right thing even when no one is watching.

We are in charge of our attitude.

Life is 10% what happens and 90% how we react to it.

You will live in a world as you percive it.

The optimist thinks we live in the best of all possible worlds, the pessimist fears this is true.
I enjoy it when my grand kids get off the computer and come down the work shed or into the garden to learn something useful. That way you get to know each other better and the conversation brings out all the points you are searching for.Must go, things to do.
Get the little Hugh Prather book, Notes to Myself, and the little Kahlil Gibran book, The Prophet. Read Emerson's Essays and the book Steinbeck: A Life in Letters. These are wonderfully thought-provoking and instructive.
Try not to judge, try to see the good in everyone, try to always do the right thing. Were none of us perfect but if we at least try then that's all we can do.
If your grandparents are alive, encourage them to get a computer so you can exchange e-mail with them whenever you like and invite them to come on Yahoo! Answers.
if they don't like you in your new clothes they wont like you in your new ones
Read the Bible, especially the New Testament, Proverbs and Psalms.
If you cannot say anything good about someone don't say anything.
LOOK after your TEETH , check up every six months , the second lot will NOT grow BACK :(
Be yourself.

Don't follow the crowd.
that is a great question and you have got 20 thoughtful answers already.
Life is a gift... That's why they call it the present.
Although I am not yet a senior citizen, I am 49 years old, but I am sure I have gone a long way already, living and working in different places and with different people of different customs, tradition, race and religion.

First advice - Respect people so you can also have their respect.

Second - Say what you mean and mean what you say, words

of honor is very important to me. I always see to it

that I will not make a promise that I am not sure I

can fulfill. If I already made a promise, then by

hook or by crook, I must fulfill it.

Third - Honesty is the best policy, Always be honest with

everyone including with yourself.

Fourth - Labour is Honor. When our company is having

a hard time and there's nobody to clean the

toilet since we can not hire additional workers, I

cleaned it myself even though I am already a

supervisor.

Fifth - Give priority to your family especially the children.

Spend your most precious and quality time with

them. You don't know how long you will live to

see them grow. Participate in their journey to-

wards better education.

Sixth - Be organized. Whether at work or at home, orga-

nize your stuffs and your time so you will not

waste your energy and time looking for something

when you need it.

Seventh - Be responsible.

Eight - Fear and Love God above all things.

Ninth - Always smile and be friendly with everybody.

Tenth - Always be a blessings to others. Share what you

have, be it material or a kind word.
