Okay so here is my story and im gonna sum this up as much as i can .Started out when i was young and i went from foster home to foster home. Got adopted by a family and the family turned out to be a joke. Father left mother for a man, numerous suicide attemps from both parents, fighting and verbal/mental abuse from parents. After i turned 18 i got mixed up with some people and pretty much got into trouble, went to jail, and got charged with felonies. I have been out of jail for a year now and i feel like i am having a hard time getting my life back together and i feel hopeless that i will never be able to get my life on track it is so hard to do anything with a felony record...if anyone has any advice on anyone or any program or information that could help me please answer it will be greatly appreciatedLife advice please!!!?
You can overcome this! And good for you for wanting too! It will be difficult. My BIL has a felony and no HS diploma or GED and he didn;t disclose this on an application and when they did the background check, they disqualified him from the running. Don't ever make the mistakes he has!
Always be honest with future employers about your past and what you learned. Take an entry level position and prove to them that they made the right desicion to hire you and move up when you can. Please get an education! It will help you tremendously. And then hopefully you can then help kids later in life who are in your situation now. And you can prove to them that they are worth it! And that hard work, determination, and self worth can get you far!
And joining a church is a great idea! We all need someone to believe in. And he's always been there for me!

find a good church we have all done things in our life that were not proud of what makes the differences is what we learn from them and apply it to how we live the rest of our life.alot of times if you go to church regularly they take you in and give you that support system and help you find your way let God into your heart and he will lead you .just because you came from a bad situation doesn't mean it has to define how the rest of your life will be
im sorry i dont have any job information...
but i do have advice
u should get a small job
work your way up
if you have a good record and recomendations it overshadows your past...sometimes
but im sry to say that with that record there are som jobs that you will never be able to have.
