I want to start a fresh new life, i'm in my 20's.
I just had enough with toxic people %26amp; fake friends, drama %26amp; arguments.
people who try to judge me, tell me what to do,
I was disrespected because i am laid back.
I kept things bottled up, and now i am angry alot.
I keep thinking about the past events over and over.
I try to stop, but its hard.
I want to start a fresh new life, and want to get rid of negative things in life,
i dont want to be unhappy, stressed out or dipressed anymore
I want to start socializing, and start being assertive
how do i stop letting people disrespect me,
and start living my life to the fullest.
I was Not being taken serious sometimes because of my sense of humor personality.
This has caused me lot of stress, headaches, %26amp; made me feel bad about myself.
lowered my self esteem, self confidence.
Alot of time i have to keep trying to remind myself that im not dipressed, or lonely
but being home alot has caused me to be this way, i want to start doing everything i missed out on.
I want to start being happy again, because for a long time now, i never really enjoyed %26amp; experience much in my life.
I want to go out more, socialize, have more fun, better friends, not be judged %26amp; disrespected,
i am always humble and respectful, yet some try to take advantage of it.
So what can i do, to start living a better %26amp; carefree life.
No more stress, drama, arguments,
better friends, better situations,
what should i say, do, %26amp; act to be taken more seriously and respected.
Where should i go to make new friends, guys %26amp; girls,
i am not picky about making friends, should i be though.
I want to hear from everyone who reads this, Suggestions !!!.Life Advice 4 everyone?
you sound like a friend that i have and he is always mad for no reason and always judgmental. i try helping him buh it seems to only help for a few minutes hours or days. i think you should try no to let things get to you very easily and judge ppl very eaisly. and ppl will always take advantage of others. you just move on with your life and try not to hold on to things yet rather learn from them. if sumone treats you bad you remember it buh dont hold on to it to the point you get mad. you just have to learn from your experiences and act better next time and not hold on to them or hold a grude on anyone.
only way you can start over is by letting go of all your grudges and problems that u have had in the past. Life Advice 4 everyone?
This is a very good start =]
You can have a sense of humor and still be respected. When things are serious, just be serious about it.
You're attitude is the main thing though. Keep this up and you'll do fine. Good luck =]
I agree with Cautious...trying to make new experiences in another country away from home would be a very enriching experience for you and it will make you forget all about the toxic and fake people you've encountered.
Make a list of everything you like to do and start doing it.
sky dive
travel
dance
make videos
bowl
play soccer
pursue things you like
no one is gonne read it!!!
First, I would backoff and re-group, get to know yourself, develop some skills.
Second, ';i am always humble and respectful, yet some try to take advantage of it';: Get some assertiveness training; its like magic, not aggressive or rude yet effective; check here:
http://www.utexas.edu/student/cmhc/bookl鈥?/a>
For more, Goggle ';assertiveness training';.
Find out more about yourself, your basic temperament. The following website has a free and accurate test that's be around for decades and very useful info:
Go to the website below, and for free register and take the test to learn more about yourself--it can be quite enlightening. The test has been around for decades and is commonly used by psychologists and counselors generally.
http://kts2.personalityzone.com/user/reg鈥?/a>
Once you've taken the test, AND have your 4-letter personality/temperament designator, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/myers-brigg鈥?/a> and scroll down to the paragraph titled: ';Type dynamics and development'; and look to the right at the rectangle titled ';The Sixteen Types'; and find your four-letter type and click on it, and read about yourself! If you answered the questions on the test honestly and accurately, you'll be amazed at how well you're described!
Third, work on your social skills some with friends you can trust, one or two. Some role play couldn't hurt. Socializing involves skills like anything else.
Fourth: Much of your life and how you enjoy it depends on how you think about it, especially habitually.
I highly recommend this book. It contains powerful tools that have been around for decades too, proven effective, even with those severely depressed (I'm not saying you are depressed).
http://www.amazon.com/Ten-Days-Self-Este鈥?/a>
If you go to the website, be sure to scroll down and read the reader reviews. If you get the book, read the first few chapters then be sure to DO the written exercises--just reading is not enough.
Fifth, give some thought--tablet and pen in hand--to what you want out of life. Work at developing some goals you believe in. Then get going.
Best wishes.
stay away from neative people dont let anyone hold the remote and control your emotios, mood. its good to start fresh be numb to anything in the past that brings pain. u will be happy gain trust me i know yeah have fun with life u know meet friends at school or work or store bars etc i gain respect from people by tellig them the truth and off to shut them up now i just dont care i know whos for me and whos not and who wants the best for me
If you want to get away from the drama. Don't be around people or be involved with people that talk about others. Its stupid if they are bad over dramatic friends you should just drop everything and walk away from them. This is your life %26amp; you can plan out everything you want to happen! So if drama and lies and such devastates you, dont get involved with it %26amp; you should be picky about who you trust too, if you tell someone a secret and they tell everyone that's major drama!
Do you dream big? It looks like:) How about traveling to another country for a while? There are a few english speaking countries like Australia, Singapore, New Zeland, you'll even get by in Europe. If you're in college you could do the study abroad program, if you're on your own, you could go as an Au Pair, or find an internship, etc... I HIGHLY recommend this:) You will find people in other countries ';refreshing';, you will even encounter ';yourself';:) It really helps! Even if you go for 6 months, it will be such a great experience, you will remember it your whole life... When you come back, you'll be a new person, with a new vision, plans, experiences. Give it a try. Sometimes we need to do things outside of the box. This is just my two cents:)
Well, the only advice I would give you is to be totally honest with yourself. Think about what you would REALLY like to do, where you would like to go and what sort of things you want to do. Just be yourself, be true to yourself, don't put on a show for anyone or try to impress anyone for any reason. Well except for things like interviews but you know what I mean!!
I honestly believe that if you do this, and it does take time to really be honest with yourself, it takes a lot of practice to really realise who you are and what you want, but you will have a much better life. That doesn't mean not being kind and all that stuff but put yourself in difficult situations if you need to, give yourself a few challenges and you will see the world through different eyes, BY JUST BEING TOTALLY HONEST AND TRUE TO YOURSELF. Try it.
Here are the three most important books you should get, they are available on amazon.com:
1. Self-Defeating Behaviors: Free Yourself from the Habits, Compulsions, Feelings, and Attitudes That Hold You Back by Milton R. Cudney and Robert E. Hardy
2. When Am I Going to Be Happy?: How to Break the Emotional Bad Habits That Make You Miserable by Penelope Russianoff
3. A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose by Eckhart Toll
While you're on amazon.com, also order Nature Made SAM-e Mood Plus 200 mg, this will help you with the physical aspects of how you're feeling, and just make you feel a whole lot better, it's been proven and I back it 100%.
