Me too thats why Im moving out and starting fresh.I want to change, brake my habits and start my life over. Can someone give me some advice how to do so. Thnx!!?
This is what i do for a new day. a new page.
1. get a journal
i write horrible letters to people in my journal but never send them. i write amazing things about people but never send them. i let out my feelings about everybody.
2. become friends again.
i call the people i once had a strong relationship with and apologise..or if i have nothing to be sorry for i invite them to dinner or invite them to my house.
3. stay away from bad people.
people that cause you trouble? stay away. see them 30 feet away at a park? take a right turn behind a bush and keep walking.
4. get a conscious and will power.
if you're about to smoke..and your brain tells you not to... don't do it. just walk away. no matter how tempting think of other things that you love so much more then this. then you'll get that craving for snacks!! NOM NOM NOM :D
5. take a breath.
too much for you? take a step back. about to engage yourself in an argument... take a breath.
people like a calm and understanding person. but they also like fun and outgoing.
if you're neither... be yourself and be around people you like and love ya for who you are.
This is a hard thing, but not impossible. You must assess yourself honestly. What exactly do you need to change? Make a list, these become your goals. You need to become self aware, and this is the hard part, If one of your goals is to stop criticizing people, then think before you say something to them, it might help to have a friend or family member tell you when you start to do this. Volunteer at a hospital, nursing home, or shelter, there is an old saying ';when you help others you're helping yourself.'; Try to do at least one good act a day, and ask the person to pass it on.

Good Luck

Hi Olivia,
You ask for advice to start your life over. Having done that several times, my #1 piece of advice is this: move! Move to a new city, or, even better, to a new country. The best way to change is to arrive somewhere where you know no one.
If you want to read something absolutely uplifting about life change, I warmly recommend The Adventure Cookbook, by Sofia Brandon. She leaves her career and starts over, traveling around the world on a shoestring. Her tone is fun and approachable, so you read and think, ';this could be me';. It's funny, touching, inspiring. You can see the reviews on Amazon.
Wishing you good luck with your life change,
Lenny
will power. think of it as a constant mental challenge. Sure its easy to give in but dont. its all in the mind. just think to yourself im losing, im giving in. be a winner as corny as that sounds
