I need career/life advice.?

I am a 23 year old guy, moving to NYC in a month. The problem is that I have no idea what I should in my life. I have bachelor's degree in English from UC Berkeley and a Taxation Masters degree from Golden Gate University. I have worked as an accountant for 6 months, and hated it. My interests include reading news (obsessively) and looking up travel times for airlines (I know its bizzare, but I consider it fun), going to movies, and traveling. I just dont know what my passion is in life. A lot of people my age are already on the road to success in something but I dont have a specific goal. Please, any and all advice about career and/or life is appreciated.I need career/life advice.?
Journalist?I need career/life advice.?
I know what you mean I am 19. I am just starting college and I am very confused on what I want to do with my life. I am majoring in Early Childhood Eduacation. I love kids and u think I would really like to teach them. Then again their is my other side that wants adventure to travel around the world. To find some kind of job in traveling. I'm not sure if I go with teaching it will be something that is always need. I know people you age that doesn't exactly what they want to do. i think eventually whatever your meant to do you will find it.
Dude first of all congrats on the move! Now to help you with your little problem.

You like to read and your good with English and you like to observe things so the answer is simple. Become a REPORTER and write articles about movies, travel and books!

To me it seems perfect for you but its easier said then done but give it a shot and see where it takes you. Goodluck
Why are you moving to NYC? Can't you consider a less busy atmosphere so that you can more quietly identify and match your talents with a life goal?
Do you have a masters in tax (LLM?) If so, tax attorneys are in huge demand and raking in the bucks! If not, I am not sure what a masters in Tax is, but how about looking into becoming an actuary? Sounds like you like numbers? Figure out what kinds of jobs you had and what you liked and did not like about each and that should help. Also, w/ degree in English, how about writing for the New York Times or a newspaper or magazine. ANYONE who graduated from the University of California is imminently employable and brilliant (and yes, as a matter of fact I did graduate from UCLA!! Go Bruins) Good luck.
